Clinton, IOWA – According to the Clinton Police Department, his name is Paul Horn and he faces six counts of third-degree burglary and a charge of motor-vehicle theft. On Saturday, Clinton Police Department officers responded to a report of multiple burglaries in the 2300 block of Manufacturing Drive. Authorities say the 25-year-old man broke a window to gain entry and then stole electronic items. The 25-year-old suspect also burglarized four vehicles and stole a City of Clinton garbage truck parked at Eastern Iowa Tire. Horn was arrested on Wednesday. He allegedly admitted to entering businesses and to stealing the garbage truck. This incident remains under investigation.…

Newly released court documents have revealed how two of the siblings found abandoned alongside their brother’s body at a home watched his murder. Prosecutors say the mother’s boyfriend beat the eight-year-old to death. The children’s mother said that she had confronted her boyfriend, who said he was sorry and that “he lost it and punched the child until he went to sleep”. Albia, IOWA – According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, this unfortunate accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. It happened on 160th Street, northeast of Albia. Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash involving Amtrak train and garbage truck. The responding deputies found two victims. They say the garbage truck driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene. The train’s engineer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Des Moines Police Department officers responded to a report of an injured person. The responding officers found a 19-year-old male victim suffering from severe stab wounds. After his son was reported missing, the father of a 7-year-old boy found the child’s dead body in the family backyard after he was mauled to death by their dog. Before the body was found, the family of the 7-year-old victim became worried after he didn’t return back home for dinner. Davenport, IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Derrick Dewayne Hargrett and he is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon in the death of Sylvester Eddings. The 35-year-old man was booked into the Scott County Jail Tuesday night. Iowa City, IOWA – According to the city officials, these testing kits are available to the public on a weekly basis. Officials say that the testing kits will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The kits are supplied to the City by Johnson County Public Health and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Testing kits will be refurbished weekly as supplies allow.
