IOWA – According to the Marshalltown Fire Department officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right after 5 a.m. Sunday. It happened in the 800 block of N. Center Street in Marshalltown. Marshalltown Fire Department crews responded to a report of a house fire. When the crews arrived on scene, they were able to gain entry to the home where they found a 71-year-old victim. Hardin County, IOWA – According to the Iowa State Patrol, troopers responded to a report of a crash right after 12 p.m. Sunday. Buick Regal driving southbound left the roadway for an unknown reason. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to strike the side of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep then crashed into the ditch and landed on its top. According to the police officials, the 21-year-old man made his way into the two-bedroom house on Sept. 24. Deputies responded to a report that someone was dead on the property. The boy allegedly told investigators “he did it in his sleep.” He told authorities that he woke up right before 3 a.m. Wednesday and found himself in his sister’s bedroom.
