Hamilton County, IOWA – According to the statement, his name is Braden Alan Johnson and he called the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department requesting help. Authorities say the 34-year-old man then refused to stop when he was approached by deputies.  Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies reported the chase on Interstate 35 through Hamilton, Story and Polk counties. They say Johnson reached speeds up to 100 mile-an-hour at times. He allegedly had a 3-year-old child inside his vehicle while being pursued. The 34-year-old man was arrested and charged.

IOWA – According to the court documents, his name is Thomas Williams and he was sentenced on Monday. Prosecutors say the defendant entered a guilty plea to third degree kidnapping and he must register as a sex offender. Williams was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and an additional $250 civil penalty. In Jan. 2020, the defendant told a 10-year-old girl to stay on his bus after he dropped off other students. Davenport Police Department officers responded to a shooting call. Investigators say the 27-year-old suspect was at the home of the alleged victim and stole a firearm valued around $540. According to the court documents, the 45-year-old dad pleaded guilty this week to fatally stabbing his teenage daughter and attempting to kill his wife. Prosecutors say the father pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
